Direct all market analysis, including but not limited to market sizing, segmentation, target audience analysis, trending, vertical analysis, geographic analysis, international analysis and analyst viewpoints. Negotiate and coordinate all analyst service purchases and coordinate usage of user ids and analyst meetings for uses of those services.
Direct all activities related to competitive analysis, including but not limited to production of competitive matrix on competitor's capabilities, products, facilities, partnerships, pricing, expansion plans, sales models and strategic relationships. Prepare and deliver regular updates to sales and to management articulating company relative position against the competition. Prepare sales positioning against competitors and hold regular training session with all sales segments. Perform strategic analysis of competitive data and deliver regular management recommendations for action.
Manage group to prepare and deliver market data with associated analysis and recommendations to management on a regular basis and on an as-needed basis to support specific events/meetings.
Direct product marketing activities, including but not limited to target market needs, market size by product area, buying trends, market sizing for product area, product feature requirements and market pricing considerations. Where appropriate manage conduct customer focus groups, surveys and other mechanisms to understand product success criteria. Develop product positioning within the overall corporate positioning. Drive product positioning throughout sales collateral, PR activities, Web site and all corporate communications. Work with Product Management and communicate market needs by product area, helping define goals and objectives for the product feature set, product pricing, market capture and overall sales goals. With Product Management, direct all marketing activities in support of new product launches and product modifications. Be responsible for product lead generation programs, working with Marketing Communications for implementation of those programs. Deliver all product related content for collateral, sales presentation, sales tools and public relations activities.
Manage customer communications, including but not limited to customer reference programs, customer quotes and endorsements, customer participation in press activities and customer product communications. Manage group responsible for customer data gathering surveys and analysis. Build and maintain database of customer information that can be used for trending and analysis. Prepare regular management updates and recommendations as a result of win/loss analysis and customer satisfaction surveys.
· Requirements: 5-7 years experience directing a product marketing and research analysis group for an Internet hosting or related high-tech company. Excellent managerial, analytical, written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage a group of individuals to prepare core market data, perform appropriate organization of data and prepare analysis. Ability to give direction for development of customer surveys and data collection. Ability to work with a direct and channel sales force to effectively gather customer and market data and to communicate back key competitive position. Ability to work with product development to communicate key market needs, market trends, product and customer requirement, to establish effective product launch initiatives and to track product sales successes. Ability to analyze sales data to recommend actions for products and product groups. Ability to interact with press and analyst related to the communication of product capabilities and messaging. Ability to negotiate with the manage and outside consulting agencies and contractors. Excellent presentation and skills required for management, analyst and press interactions. Ability to analyze, interpret gathered data to provide recommendations and influence product and company direction and management decisions. Statistical analysis skills. Ability to organize and manipulate market quantitative and qualitative data.

General Description: Responsible for the development and execution of training programs
designed to educate, motivate and generate loyalty with sales and technical contacts within company's channel partners worldwide.
Primary Responsibilities: Develop, execute and sustain a comprehensive partner training program that achieves specific objectives and addresses the needs of both partner sales and technical contacts worldwide. These programs should be developed in a manner to
be delivered in both web based and field seminar formats. They should reflect the varying needs of specific market segments.Develop the training program budget and identify resources required to achieve milestones of program development. Develop and implement training curriculum and support materials for all channel segments worldwide, focusing on: Pre-sales: developing proposals, including "why fixed wireless", Why our
company", site surveys, siting analysis, configuration: Post-sales: installation guidelines, support programs. Develop sales and support certification programs for elite VARs and authorized resellers. Define and communicate certification criterion. Work closely with the company channel sales team to evaluate channel partner training needs and enlist channel sales support with the implementation of training programs on an on-going basis.
Develop and execute the promotion and marketing of the training program to drive participation from the reseller partners. Develop programs that communicate directly with channel technical contacts including newsletter, extranet site, etc. for the purpose of continuing education, loyalty, mind share and motivation. Develop quantitative tools to measure the impact of training programs on channel partners ability to effectively present
and implement company solutions with end user customers. Work closely with Distributors and other partners to develop "train the trainer" programs to extend company's reach among channel partners. Manage the content for all channel training related web sites and extranets. Oversee the scheduling and logistics of channel training worldwide.
Experience and Skill Requirements: Must have three plus years experience as a training
manager in a corporate environment developing and implementing training programs with channel partners. Must be able to show measurable results with regard to sales and support capabilities of channel partners. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Familiar with the complexities of selling through multiple channels of distribution and the necessary support structures; Understanding of current education, presentation
and web technologies; Demonstrated ability to develop effective presentations that sell concepts of both a promotional and technical nature; Ability to plan, organize and execute programs to successful completion within the context of company direction; Ability to effectively interact with third-party contractors and other teams to get results; Some international and domestic travel required (approximately 30%); Ability to develop
concise, written program plans with clear objectives and goals; General familiarity with the Mar Com elements production process; Solid understanding of basic computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Personal Skills: Strong communications skills to build relationships with counterparts within marketing, sales, channel partners and third-party contractors. Team-oriented: must
enjoy working as part of a team that is not geographically located in one place to produce meaningful results. Self-motivated and can work independently with direction from direct manager. Absolutely must be able to manage change; to initiate, implement and promote change in the organization to create new business opportunities, respond to customer and management needs, and maintain continuous improvement efforts.
